Children can choose whether to have a home packed lunch or a school cooked lunch.
Although we do not police packed lunches we do, as part of our 'Healthy Schools' Policy, promote healthy eating. For more information visit our Food Policy.
All Pupils in Foundation / Key Stage 1 are entitled to a free hot school meal.
The price of a school meal is now £2.50. Payment for school meals must be made in advance and online via ScoPay. This can be weekly (£12.50 per week) or half termly in the first week back to school.
Does your child need a medical special diet to eat lunch at school? If so, you need to create an account to register your child for a medical special diet.
Once you have created your account, we will be able to review your medical evidence with our NHS dietician in order to devise an adapted menu for your child's school lunch.
Living with allergies comes with its own set of rules so when it comes to food, as education caterers, we want to make this as easy as possible for you as a family. Our staff are trained in food safety and regularly update their skills on allergens. We never underestimate the dangers of food allergies and intolerances and that's why we work hard to get it right.
Your child may be able to get free school meals:- Registering is really quick and easy – if you think you qualify go online for an immediate decision by using the online Free School Meal Eligibility Checking Service provided by Hampshire County Council Catering Services (HC3S). This self-service option is available at: https://www.hants.gov.uk/educationandlearning/freeschoolmeals/infants Alternatively, if you want help in applying / completing the form please contact Mrs Saunders in the School Office and we can apply on your behalf. If your child is in KS1 and receives ‘universal free meals’ you must still complete the form to apply for free school meals in order to qualify for your Voucher.
