VACANCY

1-1 Teaching Assistant

  • Job start: TBC
  • Salary: Grade B
  • Contract type: 35 Hours per week Mon – Fri 08:30 – 15:30
  • Contract term: 1 Year Fixed Term
  • Closing Date: 12 noon Thursday 30th June 2022
  • Interview: TBC

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic, full time (35hrs per week) teaching assistant to offer 1-1 support to some of our most vulnerable pupils. This is a challenging but very rewarding role. The post involves working 1:1 in all aspects of a pupil’s day (learning, playtimes, lunchtime and emotional support/nurture.)

We understand that this sort of role can be emotionally challenging, so full support training and breaks will be a priority. There will be opportunities to “step away” and undertake some supervision when required. You will be joining a very dedicated and friendly team who are both hard working and supportive of one another. The teaching and support staff work closely to bring about the best possible outcomes for the children in their care.

We would ask that applicants outline any prior experience and strengths that they bring to the role taking particular note of the desirable and essential criteria set out in the person specification. Any specific SEND or behaviour experience or training will be of particular interest.

We offer an excellent induction and support package with the opportunity to work alongside a very talented team of excellent teachers and support staff who will do all they can to ensure you are given the best advice, training and support. Continuous professional development is a strong feature of our school and pupil behaviour is generally exceptionally good.
