RE – Trees as Symbols

As part of our RE unit this half term, we blindfolded and led each other to trees in the school. We felt the leaves, branches and bark and then tried to find these trees again without the blindfold. This turned out to be a very enjoyable and amusing lesson (as these photographs show).

Feelings – Word Clouds

Neptune class have been busy creating feelings word clouds as part of their entry point for our new IPC topic ‘Feelings’. Neptune class are currently reading CTRL-Z.

A boy called Alex receives a strange gift from his Godfather John Presley. Amazingly, this gift can take him back in time. Alex and his friend Callum find that they can use the gift for having fun and making lots of mistakes.

As part of our IPC topic, Making Things Go, Neptune class have been creating cars with propellers. The propellers create push and pull forces to drive the cars forward or backward, depending on the direction that you wind the propeller.
