Following
the school’s validation as a ‘Healthy School’
in 2004, which promotes the health and well-being of its pupils
and staff, the governors would now like to update our position
to that of ‘enhanced status’. This means that the
school needs to show additional evidence of healthy practices
in key areas. One of the areas we need to review and adopt is
a Whole School Food Policy and we would like to involve as many
parents and members of the school community as possible.
This
draft Food Policy is for you to take a look at it and then feedback
any comments you would like to make about the policy. You are
welcome to feed back comments via email
to the school office or alternatively, you can hand in any feedback
to the office staff.
The
governors hope to have this policy in place by May and to achieve
Enhanced Healthy Schools status in June 2007 and we will inform
you of this as soon as possible.
Many thanks,
Sally Hobson – Chair of Curriculum Committee
