Fire Engine in KS1!

Don’t panic, the Fire Engine you saw in the car park on Wednesday 18th May was here to help the children in year 1 and 2 learn about fire safety!

The children found out about keeping safe at home, by checking smoke alarms once a week and changing the batteries every year. The firemen also gave a guided tour of the engine and how they use the giant hose to put out large fires!

Please remember,

they can hurt you very much’

Children in Foundation and Key Stage One have spent time this week learning about multicultural Britain in many different ways with the support of the SCITT trainees. It was launched with an exciting role play experience when an alien crash landed and didn’t know where he was. He arrived in a street which was home to families of different cultures.   Children were invited to offer suggestions of where the alien might have landed and at the end they were shown it was a street in Great Britain. Children worked in classes to build on this learning, ranging from Indian cooking to exploring the Carnival. Children will also be involved in creating an Asian style dance with a outside professional which they will present to parents on Wednesday.

Football Tournament

Football

Here are Finlay and Somerset, two of our footballing heroes from Wednesday’s game against Ringwood Juniors.

Unfortunately we didn’t win overall but the team put out a fantastic display of football, determination and resilience. Well done Bransgore – you were superb!

World Book Day Competition

A huge WELL DONE to everyone who entered the World Book Day Model Competition last week, the Hall was awash with colour and the construction skill involved in the model making was superb!! There were an amazing number of entries which made judging particularly difficult. The winning models can be seen in the slide show below.
